From Claviere, following the dedicated trail. Travel time: about 1 hour 15 minutes.

By car, off-road motorbike and bike

From Claviere, take the paved road to La Coche (about 2 km). At La Coche restaurant, turn right onto the dirt road and continue for another 2 km to the refuge. The road is not suitable for low-clearance vehicles or road motorbikes. Travel time: about 10 minutes.

By snowmobile

Climb up to Colle Bercia, then descend towards Valle Gimont.
